On-device learning kit · iPhone & iPad
Fenstra
Doors, glass & solar literacy
A field-minded kit for people who specify, sell, or simply choose openings — doors, glazing, acoustics, radiant floors, climate strategy, and rooftop solar.
- 8Academy modules
- 6Advisor estimators
- 1device, your Studio
What it does
Six crafts behind one aperture.
Fenstra turns product-label jargon into lessons, checklists, and on-device drafts you can save before you talk to a contractor.
-
01
Academy
Eight modules — Door Systems, Glass & Glazing, Acoustics, Radiant Floors, Climate Strategies, Solar Literacy, Equipment Inspection, and Industry Awareness — with specs, field checklists, and quizzes.
-
02
Advisor
Six estimators: Climate Zone Matcher, Acoustic Door Planner, Glazing Comparator, Radiant Floor Estimator, Seasonal Picker, and Cost Range Sketch. Each result explains why a package fits.
-
03
Solar Lab
Walk shade, orientation, and payback scenarios. Run a Savings Challenge and keep the session on Lock Screen when Live Activities are enabled.
-
04
Industry Map
An illustrative hub directory with compare and career-fit views — a market snapshot for learning, not a quote and not investment advice.
-
05
My Studio
Saved packages, inspection notes, mastery rings, badges, and study streaks in one quiet record of what you have actually worked through.
-
06
Widget & Live Activity
After the first launch, add the Home Screen widget for streak and next lesson. Optional Live Activities keep an academy or solar session on Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
About
Built for people who make real decisions about openings.
Fenstra is an independent learning companion for iPhone and iPad. Inside you study the craft, run estimators, explore an illustrative industry map, and keep progress in My Studio. Lessons, tools, and progress stay on this device.
We are not a manufacturer, installer, utility, or engineering firm. Career bands, cost sketches, and hub listings are illustrative teaching material.
Privacy policy
Your studio stays on the device.
Effective date: March 11, 2026 · Last updated: August 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Fenstra (the “Application”) handles information when you use our doors, glazing, climate, and solar literacy app. The Application is provided from California, United States (“we”, “us”, or “our”). Contact: chiefdavidtamayo@gmail.com · +1 (574) 900-2365.
Information we store
Fenstra does not require an account, sign-up, or login. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or location inside the app. We do not operate our own servers that receive your learning progress.
The following stays locally on your device:
- Onboarding and preference flags (units, Reduce Motion, haptics, Live Activity preference)
- Lesson progress, quiz scores, checklists, XP, badges, and study streaks
- Saved Advisor results, inspection notes, solar survey checks, and Studio goals
- Industry Map compare lists and visited hubs you mark in the app
- A small widget snapshot (streak, mastery percent, next lesson) in the shared App Group
group.oleksandrshmaiun.fenstra
Progress is written to a local file in the app’s Documents folder (fenstra_user.json). Deleting the app removes that file and the App Group snapshot from the device.
How we use information
Local data exists only to run Academy, Advisor, Solar Lab, Industry Map, My Studio, the Home Screen widget, and optional Live Activities. We do not profile, sell, or share this content. There is no cloud sync and no remote backup operated by us.
Apple frameworks on the device
Industry Map uses Apple MapKit to show illustrative manufacturer hubs from bundled coordinates. The app does not request your location; there is no location usage string.
If you enable Live Activities, Fenstra uses Apple’s ActivityKit on the device to show a study or Solar Challenge session on Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. We do not receive Lock Screen contents on any server.
The Home Screen widget uses WidgetKit and the App Group noted above. Widget data is a copy of values already on the device after the main app has launched once.
Third-party services
Fenstra ships its curriculum, glossary, hub directory, and estimators in the app binary. We do not call TMDB, RAWG, advertising networks, or third-party analytics SDKs. We do not run usage tracking.
Settings lists illustrative image credits with links to Unsplash photographer pages. Those links open only if you tap them; the app does not fetch Unsplash (or other) image APIs to populate lessons.
This marketing site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process standard server logs (such as IP address and user agent) when you visit fenstra.pages.dev, according to Cloudflare’s own policies. That hosting log is separate from the iOS app, which does not send your Studio data to this site.
Children’s privacy
The Application does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because learning records stay on the device and are not transmitted to us, the app is suitable for general audiences under COPPA and similar standards.
Your control
You can reset learning progress from Settings inside Fenstra, edit or delete saved Advisor results and inspections, or uninstall the Application to remove all associated local data. Because there is no account, we cannot restore Studio content from a remote backup.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect app improvements or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the dates above. The core commitment — local Studio storage, no accounts, no sale of personal data — will not change without clear notice on this page.
